Tennis or Pickleball
Highland Creek offers tennis lessons for adults and children and has leagues playing on two different sets of courts within the neighborhood, Prosperity Park and Clark Creek Park. Find out more.
If you’re feeling adventurous, you can play pickleball, too. What is pickleball? It’s kind of a miniature version of tennis that’s fun for the whole family. They have beginner clinics to learn the game and you can rent the necessary equipment at the Sports Club. Check it out.
Highland Creek has an 18-hole golf course. The golf club offers full service options, including carts, a putting green and driving range. There’s also a restaurant in the clubhouse, The Players Grill, which even features comedy nights. And if your little one wants to learn, The First Tee offers golf lessons at this location, as well. Highland Creek recently installed a 9-hole disc golf course beside the Sports Club. If you’ve never played disc golf, it’s a family-friendly game played by throwing discs that are smaller than typical Frisbees into metal baskets.
Walking Trails and Miles of Sidewalks
There are at least a dozen walking trails within Highland Creek. There are also miles of sidewalks throughout the neighborhood’s villages, complete with crosswalks and lots of challenging hills. There’s always somebody jogging, walking their pets or strolling around with their family. See for your yourself.
If swimming is one of your favorites, Highland Creek has you covered. There are four pools in our neighborhood, two of which have dedicated swim lanes. They also offer swim lessons and swim teams for kids up to 18. Find out more.
Sports Club Gym and Fitness Classes
No need for a gym membership. Highland Creek has a fitness center that offers elliptical machines, treadmills, weight machines and more. There are also fitness classes, such as yoga, Zumba and tai chi. Sign up now.
There are lots of playgrounds throughout this Charlotte neighborhood. There are four larger playgrounds and several pocket parks nestled in the villages. Where to find your nearest playground!
Shooting hoops is an option, too. There are multiple basketball courts for a quick game of H-O-R-S-E or practicing your free throw shots.
Yes, fishing! Pack a picnic, grab your pole and ride your bike over to the pond in Highland Creek for a relaxing day of fishing.
